“Important questions such as ‘What do you want?’ ‘What’s important to you?’ and ‘What are you good at?’ cannot be answered offhand. This is why I love how intense the QUIST programmes are. As well as exciting, as you really lead people onto a new path. Either because they are forced to leave after some thirty years with the same employer and have to reinvent themselves, or because they themselves have decided that they’re ready for the next step. This requires persistence and patience. For the coachee as well as for myself.”
Inge’s journey to the world of business has been an indirect one. After youth welfare and the media industry she landed in board rooms. During all phases of her career she discovered the red thread throughout her work: how to respond to what is happening in society, and how to ensure people can flourish.
Among others, Inge has worked for the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Journalisten and was a member and chairman of the Commissariaat voor de Media. For the last ten years, she has been working in supervisory positions at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, the Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek, the Dutch limited companies of DSM, Shell, Accenture, and WNF. Up until recently, she was chair of the Dutch Red Cross.
